Gaming Corps AB has announced that it has secured a gaming supplier license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

The license authorizes the Swedish game developer to manufacture, supply, and update gaming software for the Ontario market — one of the world’s most closely regulated and commercially significant jurisdictions.

Already working with several major operators active in Ontario, Gaming Corps expects the license to significantly boost its revenue streams in the region.

Known for its non-traditional game formats and distinctive game engines, Gaming Corps is entering Ontario with content tailored to local tastes, including Hoop Champion and Shootout Champion, games designed around the province’s passion for hockey and basketball. In addition to existing partnerships, the company is eyeing collaborations with operators holding licensed sports brand rights.

Ontario, home to more than 15 million people, has become a powerhouse in regulated online gaming since opening to private operators in 2022. According to iGaming Ontario, the market generated over CAD 2.4 billion in gross revenue in 2023, with more than 1.2 million active player accounts and over 40 licensed operators.

"Securing our Ontario license is a major milestone for Gaming Corps. Ontario is not only one of the most regulated iGaming markets globally but also a strategic entry point into North America. This license stands as proof of our commitment to compliance, quality, and responsible gaming at an international standard. It’s a seal of approval we’re proud to carry forward as we expand."

Kauppinen added that the company is already in talks regarding its Remote Gaming Server (RGS) solutions for the Ontario market.

Achieving AGCO licensing means meeting one of the most rigorous regulatory frameworks globally, emphasizing player protection, technical integrity, financial stability, and responsible gaming practices.
